NEWRY, ME - JANUARY 28: Snowmaker Bryce Barnes opens a water valve at the top of the Spruce Peak water line at Sunday River in Newry on Thursday, January 28, 2021. Water for snowmaking is pumped from the Sunday River to a another pump station on the mountain where it is then pumped into pipes that run up the mountain along ski trails. At the start of their shift, the snowmakers have to open the valve at the top of the line they're working on and wait until the water makes its way to the top.
