HALLOWELL, ME - OCTOBER 28: Hall-Dale seniors and teachers chop up vines that they cut and pulled out of a shrubbery at Old South Congregational Church Friday October 28, 2022 during Hall-Dale High School’s Day of Caring event in Hallowell. Teacher Jen Paisley, who organized the event, said that the high school’s 350 students were scheduled to be spending two hours helping non-profit organizations and residents at 16 sites around Farmingdale and Hallowell. There was also a group doing projects around the high school/middle school campus in Farmingdale. Hall-Dale Middle School and Elementary School students also spent the morning doing various community service projects as part of the event in which schools partnered with United Way of Kennebec Valley.
